Regional Rivalries

As part of the LCA's continuing development of cricket on the Island of Lanzarote it has been decided that Regional Representative sides will play against each other to see which area of the world has the strongest representation on the island.
The Regional Championship will be contested between 4 very important cricketing regions. The North, The South, The Middle (Midlands) of England and the Rest of the World. We will be using our new F/15 format to decide the best region on the island. A players origin is determined by the place/county he was born in. This has thrown some interesting 'cat among the pigeon' moments, such as St George's Pedro Pete having to play for the South having been born in Kent even though he had spent the majority of his youth in the Black Country.
These will be the first real competitive matches of the season starting on the 28th February with the Midlands v the North and The South v The Rest of the World. Keep checking the website for details of starting times and grounds.
