regional F15 tournament 2011

fasten your seat belts folks because on the 27Th February we see the return of the regional F15 a tournament which sees players from different clubs join in regional sides to compete for the regional F15 trophy.

This format has been hugely popular with both players and supporters and is guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat ! last years champions the north will again be led by LCA captain Craig trapps, the midlands will be captained by Des stonier, Jamie rogerson will take charge of the southerners and this years job of leading the rest of the world goes to commitments David.

games start at 10.30am and will be held at puerto del carmen, there will be two games played on each Sunday with the second game been played straight after the 1st.

its 15 overs of hard hitting so don't miss any of the action , also there is refreshments available from burgers to coffee or even a cool beer to sip while you sit in the sun or covered stand and watch the non stop action and if that wasn't enough to get you there on a Sunday its also totally free of charge to enter the stadium.

Details:

grass roots cricket is in full flow in lanzarote with coaching and training about to start for this coming season.

Jamie rogerson head of youth development and his assistant Craig trapps will be holding net sessions and indoor practises in the next few weeks.

the nets will be held at puerto del carmen and the indoor facility at the school, the school will be used on Friday early evenings and the PDC nets on Sundays.

all players under 20 are welcome and beginners are also invited to come along and have a go. more details will follow on the web site but if you require any more information contact Jamie, Craig or the chairman jack Talbot.

Lanzarote Cricket Association's International T/20 Cricket Tournament 2012

Details:

The first LCA International T/20 cricket tournament will involve 6 teams on a first come first serve basis. Each team will play 3 matches in 3 days with trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams, plus trophies for best bowler and best batsmen as well as player of the tournament.

The format will be 2 groups of 3 teams, round robin, these matches will take place on Friday and Saturday with the finals on Sunday. There will be three matches on each day the first of which will start at 09.30 going on until 17.00 each of the 3 days of the tournament. The Finals day on Sunday will see the 1st placed team in each group play each other in the final, with the 2 second placed teams playing off for 3rd place and the 2 third placed teams playing a consolation match to avoid the wooden spoon!!

The cost per player for the Tournament will be 45€ and this will include ground hire, match balls, umpires fees, transport to the ground on match days as well as a traditional cricket tea on all 3 days of the tournament. (with a few traditional canarian dishes thrown in!!)

The Lanzarote Cricket Association along with SETTO will be able to organise and advise on flights, accomodation, transfers to and from the airport as well as any excursions or nights out your team might want to get involved in while on the exotic island of Lanzarote. Wouldn't it be good next season to say to all the other teams in your league that you have played cricket 60 miles off the coast of Africa. They won't believe you at first!!

The prices for accomadation can vary depending on the needs of each individual team. The Puerto del Carmen resort offers a wide range of different types of accomadation from basic 3 key apartments to full 4 star hotels.
